Kingdom Tower

August 16,2011:Trip to kingdom tower- one of a kind adventure and opportunity to see the whole Riyadh and what it feels like you are at the top of the world.And I’m very lucky to experience this kind of adventure that will be remembered for the rest of my life.


Kingdom Tower is a skyscraper located in the city of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It is currently the tallest skyscraper in Saudi Arabia with a height of 302.3 meters. The 56 meters long sky bridge atop the skyscraper,at a height of 290.4 meters top floor, contains a public observation deck and a view of the entire city of Riyadh. The ellipse motif taken from the tower's footprint appears also in the light fixtures, ceiling panels, entrance canopy, waste bins, and furniture.The Kingdom Tower also houses the world's highest mosque on the 77th floor.

The Kingdom Centre is also a shopper’s paradise and considered a high end shopping mall here in Saudi where you can find luxury and branded stuffs.

We visited Kingdom Tower after the last prayer time of the day of Muslim (Salah) usually 7:00 to 8:00 pm, this is the best time to go or else you will be stuck on the bridge until prayers are finished or you will not allowed to enter during Salah and wait for a couple of minutes.Tickets can be bought on the 2nd floor cost 25 Riyals or 275 Pesos. Opening time is 4.00pm until 11.00pm. You need to take two lifts up to the Sky Bridge (one rises 77 storeys and the second takes you up to the 99th floor). It has a super fast elevator that takes you at the top of the building in just seconds.

The viewing deck is so perfect and wide enough to see the entire city.Good thing theres is no sandstorm during our visit so we are able to see 360 degrees view.The place is so high that you almost feel the cool breeze of the night.Very refreshing and can take away your stress.If you dare to look down,you can feel and be able think you could possibly fall and die.
